DKC worked to publicize a national effort to get people to join the NRA Blacklist via a new organization called Stopthenra.com.
Launched the nrablacklist -- an “enemies” list the NRA keeps on its web page via Bob Herbert’s Column in the NYT.
Followed up with national placements in critical markets -- within three months, 185,000 people signed on to the blacklist; contributions via the Web also increased, up to $100,000 within five months.
DKC continues to fight the NRA for Brady via nraleaders.com -- a Web page that highlights the reactionary statements made by NRA leaders -- and via policy initiatives around immunity for the gun industry, assault weapons ban renewal, etc.
Results -- in addition to enrollment and fundraising mentioned, major stories in New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, community and local papers around the country, CNN, USA Today, NPR, Today Show, MTV, etc.
