Retained in 2003 to herald the opening and dedication of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati, OH.
Despite the museum’s mid-Western location in Cincinnati and the low rate of tourism there, DKC sparked interest for the Freedom Center on both coasts.
DKC communicated to the media the productive dialogue stimulated by the museum’s subject.
DKC widened the story of the Center to freedom movements beyond that of the African Americans’ struggle from slavery, which informs and inspires movements both past and present around the world.
