Senior Vice President

Rachel Carr recently returned to Dan Klores Communications as a Senior Vice President, specializing in corporate and media public relations, after 2 years as Director of Public Relations for Historic Hudson Valley, a network of historic sites in the Hudson Valley. Previously, she was Vice President at DKC for five years, responsible for creating and implementing communications plans for significant brands in a variety of industries, including The Scotts Company (lawn & garden), Delta Air Lines low-fare subsidiary Song, Berklee College of Music, Merrill Lynch, The New Yorker, J&R Music and Computer World, Faith Popcorn and Gen Art. Rachel was also responsible for the creation of DKC's new media group during the Internet boom, building significant and successful brands, including Excite, musicmaker.com and DME Interactive, a champion for closing the digital divide. Prior to DKC, Rachel was an account executive at Shore Fire Media, a leading music publicity company, which has represented U2, Bruce Springsteen, Wynton Marsalis, PJ Harvey, Cassandra Wilson and many more. Rachel graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA in 1992 with a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy. She lives in the suburbs of New York City with her family.
